KINDERGARTEN PLUS PROGRAM

AT THE TIJERAS CREEK YMCA
Expand Your Kindergartener’s Learning Opportunities

 

Are you looking for a safe, fun-filled program that would extend your Kindergartener’s day of learning? If so, then the YMCA is the place for you! Kindergarten Plus is a structured, academic enrichment program that reinforces concepts taught in your child’s kindergarten classroom based on State and District standards. Our Kindergarten Plus program is designed based upon the individual needs of the children, and encourages them to explore their talents, interests, and abilities in a safe and supportive setting!

The Kindergarten Plus core components include:

Language Arts & Literacy

Science/Technology

Mathematics/Manipulative Activities

Arts and Humanities

Social Sciences

Character Development

Spanish once a week

 

Available for Transitional Kindergarten students and Kindergarten students (early bird and late bird), schedule varies for each.

Are you looking for a safe, fun-filled environment for your child after school? If so, then the YMCA is the place for you! Through the Y’s Afterschool program, your child will get to experience the curriculum through a variety of subject areas, hands-on activities, clubs, service learning, and enrichment centers. Our program is designed based upon the individual needs of the children, and encourages them to explore their talents, interests, and abilities in a safe and supportive setting! The core components of the program include:

K.I.C.C. (Kids in Charge of their Community)

Weekly clubs including Meteorology, Dance, Cooking, Sports, Art, Recycling, and more!
